A delightful twist from a “red” packet to an “orange” packet, the design merges the two biggest symbols of prosperity for Lunar New Year ? red packets given by married couples and mandarin oranges given to elders.The self-locking packets were designed with leaves as the locking mechanism efficiently removing traditional post-print production step of gluing the die-cuts into the formed packets while forming a 3D form. The hot stamped gold flakes further enhanced the message of prosperity. Unfurling the packet or nipping off the leaves resembles the peeling of the auspicious fruit.
