Nearly 1,000,000 people have fingers amputated every year due to injury, infections, and disease. Yet, only a few small companies produce finger prostheses. These companies charge thousands of dollars per finger. This is unaffordable for many people.Lunet is a low-cost, 3D printable mechanical finger prosthesis designed to provide finger amputees around the world with an accessible solution to restore the functionality of their amputated fingers.This product animation video serves as an informational and demonstrative presentation for the design of Lunet and the issue it solves.
