The immersive, media-based museum experience allows visitors to explore through various modes of engagement Robinson’s multifaceted impact on society on and off the playing field, as he courageously navigated both personal and institutionalized discrimination. Leveraging Gensler’s expertise in spatial design, the new museum realizes the Jackie Robinson Foundation’s goal to depict Robinson’s lasting influence in sports, politics, and the continuing quest for equal rights and economic parity and to inspire others to act to improve their communities.
