To combat "summer slide" and improve access to educational materials and resources for New Yorkers of all ages after the pandemic, NYPL's in-house communications and marketing team created a robust, multilingual advertising campaign to promote "Summer at the Library," a holistic package of programming welcoming back existing patrons and introducing new users to the Library's services. The campaign included out-of-home advertising, animation, signage, digital materials, and learning tools associated with NYPL's free programs and an unprecedented 500,000-book giveaway.
