I have always been entranced by flowers— their wild, seductive color palettes, textures, and earthy joyful effect on my mood.Flowers are an ethereal and somewhat mysterious ingredient in beauty and fragrance, as well as in food. As Elise Taylor wrote in Vogue,“flowers aren’t essential, but they’re emotional.” I am drawn to the emotional in my personal work.Our approach while shooting this project was to pay attention to feeling something in response to the footage. Discovering sensory moments is my guiding principle as a director and photographer.
