Architects are used to designing visually. This book explores the interactions between sound and hearing, space and architecture.Sound adds dimension and space to the book experience. The structure of the book explores an order of magnitude from the intimate scale of the ear to the architectural scale of the environment. At the same time, it provides the reader with a framework of understanding how sound and space are deeply intertwined.
AiChi (Aiqi) means food-lover in Chinese. I love trying new food, especially in unexpected combinations, and seeing what happens in the extremes. There is nothing wrong with trying fries with ice cream. It’s the same with graphic design. I find I’m prototyping in all dimensions and emerging relationships between media, architecture, and design in an interdisciplinary way. With each project, I look for opportunities to bring my work into a dimensional world, allowing people to have new and exciting experiences. My desire is to create a multidisciplinary practice with no boundaries.
