The design system uses a library of illustrated components: head shapes, mouths, hairstyles, and eyewear. By creating various combinations of these assets in a color palette that is reminiscent of skin tones but isn’t overt, a community of diverse people who belong to Spectacle Society emerges. These illustrations avoid relying on familiar photography which is typically used in eyewear branding.
