I visited Slaton, Lubbock County, Texas, today. It is a small town of 6,000, and most streets intersect at a right angle. I thought it was very charming (although, upon entering, the city seems to mumble "nothing is happening here"). You know, a town like from movies, a small community, where everyone knows each other. The town has developed over the last decade: a new field, green areas better maintained, several new buildings. I tried to capture all this in screenshots from google maps. After all (due to the pandemic), this is currently the only allowed and safe way to travel.
