“Juntos na Ginga” is a powerful tribute to Capoeira, an art form born from the resilience and spirit of enslaved Africans in Brazil. This project highlights Capoeira’s blend of martial arts, dance, and music as symbols of cultural identity and freedom. The essence of Ginga, Capoeira’s foundational movement, embodies adaptability and resilience, mirroring the art’s origins in resistance. The film connects the Brazilian diaspora, especially in California’s Bay Area, fostering a multicultural community and preserving the rich heritage of Brazil through Capoeira’s rhythms and traditions.
