In a deeply personal, genre-bending work, the author reflects on his career, from his emigration from Spain to pursue doctoral studies to his thirty years of immersion in the capricious tides of academia. The title typography fades in and out of the page as a metaphor for the focus and path of one's life. The type-as-image effect was created in camera by photographing typography through semi-transparent material.
