The Munich University of Music and Theatre is one of the largest universities in the cultural sector in Germany and enjoys an outstanding international reputation. While retaining the official name - in German and English - a word mark was to be created that avoids the abbreviation HMTM.The solution is based on the initial initials of the official designations Hochschule für Musik und Theater München / Munich University of Music and Theatre. By turning the letter h, it becomes u, which is irritating because of its unusual descender.
